[Free] Provides parents with the chance to connect with and get support from other parents and health care professionals. Sessions include health and development related topics presented by a public health nurse or another health care expert. Topics include breastfeeding, nutrition, immunization, dental care, play and adjusting to parenthood.
[Free to nominal drop-in fee] Various programming throughout the nine houses in Vancouver. Programs include singing sessions, as well as some aboriginal parent-specific support programming
[Free] Monday meet-ups for Moms (and Dads). on various topics like baby sign language, infant nutrition and kids physio. Bonus: get a discount on your favourite vegan snack or juice when you attend!
[$95 for six classes] Explore music through songs, chants, fingerplays, movement, instruments, sign language, bubbles and puppets galore! Marnie’s animated and easygoing personality will keep your baby captivated and giggling for the whole class.
[Free] Make language fun! Start early with Babytime. Help your baby develop speech and language skills - enjoy bouncing, singing and rhyming with stories. Babytime is a fun, social bonding activity for babies AND caregivers.
[Free to nominal fees] Various pregnancy and postpartum information sessions. Topics include: optimal fetal position, breastfeeding 101, postpartum planning, baby safety, why is baby crying?, and a Sunday meditation for birthers.
[Free] Storytime programs at Vancouver Public Library are for adults with young children of all ages and abilities to come and listen to stories, sing songs and learn fingerplays and movement rhymes in a group setting.
[Free] Looking for a fun program for you and baby? Drop in to Babytime at the library for songs, rhymes, lullabies, bounces, a chance to meet other parents, and bond with your baby.
[Free for non-crawler to nominal fee] Participate together in parent and tot/family gym sessions, where your child can run, jump, climb, and enjoy play gym equipment and toys and meet other families in your neighbourhood.
