During my first maternity leave it was difficult to make fitness a priority.
My MIL would graciously give me a chance to slip out to a spin class here or there... But a typical day would leave me feeling overwhelmed, and by the end of the day when my husband got home, I just couldn't muster the energy to work out.
Enter Lucy Ulmer. Not only is she the local Vancouver Mama behind Spin Society and Hustle, but she has been a really inspiring force in postpartum motherhood wellness.
She offers near-daily spin and fitness classes where your baby is not only welcome, but often even incorporated into the routine. This has been a GAME CHANGER in my second maternity leave. I have had so much fun working out with Fionn and getting out to see other Mamas.
On December 5, 2019, she is hosting a workout and panel discussion for Mama's and babies. There is an amazing panel who will cover breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep training, body changes, and more, and Lucy is donating proceeds to BC Women's Foundation.
I'm so excited to offer one lucky Mama a Postpartum Survival Kit as a door prize at the event (keep the kit or pass it on to a Mama-to-be in your life to spread the postpartum love!) and I will be giving an additional kit away through instagram (see @one_toughmother for details).
Thank you, Lucy, for all you do for Mamas!
One Tough Mother provides Mamas-to-be with the essential resources and information they need to thrive before, during and especially after birth. Share some love with a Mama-to-be and gift her the Postpartum Survival Kit or the Ultimate Postpartum & Pregnancy Handbook today!
